Dateline, Massillon, OH.; SEPTEMBER 20, 2006--- The USTA today announced that Kevin Knoch from perry High School is being honored as part of its national recognition program for high school tennis coaches across America who implement a "no-cut" policy for their high school tennis teams.

A no-cut policy ensure that every student who wishes to play is welcomed as a member of the team. Some of the programs being recognized have more than 100 official members of their high school tennis team. Since the start of this initiative in 2005, the USTA has recognized over 600 high school tennis coaches and programs.

"No-cut tennis programs are in keeping with the objectives of the USTA to continue to grow the game of tennis," said Kirk Anderson, the USTA's Director of Recreational Coaches and Programs.  "we know that students who make their high school tennis team end up playing more tennis and staying in the game longer. We hope that by recognizing these individuals we can inspire more coaches to run no-cut programs.

We are looking forward to this year's Junior Tennis Camp the first week in June.  Please go to our page on the Youth program for more information.

"Something to consider.....Andre Agassi was a spectator recently at the Tennis Channel Open in his hometown of Las Vegas. When he arrived for the matches, he insisted on purchasing his ticket to support the event. Greatness can be measured in the little things. Do the little things!"

"ANYTHING WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING WELL!!"
