The girls track team will be sending multiple athletes in multiple events to the Regional Meet from great performances at the District Meet. Elizabeth Flinner won the Shot Put, Melissa Forney won the 100 Meter Hurdles, Sarah Keister and Kaylan Lemon finished 2nd and 4th in the 100 Meter Dash, the 4x100 Meter Relay Team of Sarah Keister, Alisha George, Melissa Forney, and Kaylan Lemon won, and the 4x400 Meter Relay Team of Kaylan Lemon, Cassy Daniels, Sarah Keister, and Alisha George placed 4th.

Congratulations to the girls track team who beat the Lake Blue Streaks last night by a score of 94-43. Several girls contributed to the scoring as it turned into a great team effort. The girls travel to Salem this Friday and then have their 1st home meet next Tuesday against Fitch. Great job ladies and go get'um on Friday.

Congratulations to the girls 4x100 team of Sarah Keister, Alisha
George, Melissa Forney, and Kaylan Lemon for their 6th place finish to earn
All-Ohio status at the State Championship. They set yet another school
record with a time of 48.47. They came into the meet with the 11th fastest
time and proved that they could run much faster on the bigger stage.

The girls 4x100 team has made it to Saturday's finals by advancing with the 7th best time (48.89) in the semifinals on Friday at the 100th State Championship. Full results can be found here.

The 4x100 Relay team of Sarah Keister, Alisha George, Melissa Forney, and Kaylan
Lemon set another school record (48.73) and finished 4th overall at the Regional
Meet on Friday to advance to the State Meet. The 4x200 team (Sarah Keister,
Taylor Hartung, Kaylan Lemon, and Alisha George) and the 4x400 team (Cassy
Daniels, Taylor Hartung, Kaylan Lemon, and Alisha George) finished 8th overall.

Congratulations to the girls track team who advanced 3 relay teams and 2 individual events to the regional meet. They were Sarah Keister, Alisha George, Melissa Forney, Kaylan Lemon, Taylor Hartung, and Cassy Daniels. Daniels, Hartung, Lemon and George also set a new school record in the 4 x 400 relay. They will all compete this Wednesday & Friday at Austintown Fitch for a chance to go to the state meet.

Congratulations to Junior Melissa Forney for placing 11th at the State Indoor Meet on March 17th, 2007 in the 60M hurdles. The girls open up with Lake on March 27th and then will compete in Salem at the Cope Invitational on Friday, March 30th.

The meet scheduled on April 3rd against Austintown-Fitch has been moved to Boardman High School since construction is no yet complete at Fitch's stadium. There has also been a few changes to the middle school schedule as well. Be sure to check the schedule page.
