FLUTTER THROUGH A GOOD BOOK!
I hope you are ready to read, I have many new things planned this year! I look forward to seeing you all each week and sharing some FUN here in the library. As in previous years we will again be writing a book in the library. These books will help us to understand what an author and illustrator are, as well as what publishers and editors do.
Listening Centers
We have four CD/Cassette players for the students use in the library. This is a privilege earned through good conduct. There are over 30 Books on Tape/CD and over 25 music CD's the students can listen to in the library. Music CD's are also available for checkout.
Contests!
In Grades 1 and 2 we will be having a reading contest POP OPEN A GOOD BOOK, check out the specifics on the contest on the K-2 web page.
In Grades 3-5 learn how each child can earn a Library Achievement Award, the Lamp of Knowledge medal! We will again be working on this Award in the 2009-2010 school year. Specifics on grade 3-5 page!

Caught being Kind :)
IF you are caught being extra kind or extra helpful to others you will receive a "Kingdom of Reading" dollar. Put your name,grade, and teacher on the back and each month there will be a drawing for a special prize!
