RETAKING A MATH TEST

à You may retake any test in math.

à The score you receive on the retake will replace your original grade, even if it is lower than your original score!

à You must work with an approved tutor before you can retake a test. An approved tutor would be an adult such as a parent, guardian, grandparent, uncle, teacher, etc., or another student that has good math skills and is approved by Ms. Manack as a tutor.

To schedule a retake with Ms. Manack, you must follow these steps:

1. Get a retake form from Ms. Manack.

2. Have your parent or guardian sign and date the retake form.

3. Work with an approved “tutor” to improve your understanding of the content on the test you want to retake.

4. Have the “tutor” sign the retake form.

5. Bring the completed retake form to me at least one day before you want to schedule the retake.

6. Be sure you schedule the retake within the deadline of two weeks after the original test.

Once you turn in the completed retake form, I will schedule a mutually convenient time for you to retake the test. Possible retake times are before school at 7:20, your study hall period, or possibly Academic Assist.
