Classroom Rules and
Expectations
In order to provide a safe, productive learning environment, all students in my class are expected to follow five rules. Further, I require my students to comply with all policies set forth in the Student Handbook.
My classroom rules:
Be on time.
Be prepared.
Be ready to learn.
Be willing to try.
Be respectful.
Be positive

Record your homework in your planner
Read the Targets and Agenda for the
lesson
Begin working on the warm-up Activity
or “Question of the Day”
Use them before or after class without
asking
During class – raise your pencil and
wait until I nod at you
Use them before or after class without
asking
During class – make a pile at or by
your desk and throw it away as you leave
Exception – throw dirty tissues away
immediately!!
You may use anything from the Student
Supply Center without asking. Just be
sure not to interrupt anyone’s learning!
You may ask a neighbor to lend you
supplies, buy your neighbor is allowed to say no!
Remember to return to borrowed
supplies at the end of the class
In emergency situations get one
without asking
When it’s not urgent, wait until
there’s a break to get a tissue
Be sure to throw dirty tissues away
immediately!!
You must always ask for permission first!!!
**Do not ask during lecture time unless it is an emergency! **
Please fill out the hall pass in your
planner and give it to me to sign/initial
Sign in & out on the clipboard
Be sure to take a hall pass with
you. It must be worn around your neck
at all times when you are outside the classroom
My desk is off limits! Please do not take anything from my desk
Do NOT walk behind my desk
